With its classic look and standard size, this belt-driven, hand-operated turntable has no gimmicks or superfluous controls, but is impeccably engineered and executed.
The Volare is actually a smaller version of Dr Feickert's flagship Firebird. It is designed without suspension and features a heavy, well-balanced aluminium deck coupled to a high-torque engine. Its chassis topology is based on "a high mass in the centre of a bearing chosen for its rigidity and very classic low friction".
In practice, the platter is a quick-change mechanism that can be easily adapted to different tone arms. If required, an adapter is available as an option.
The standard black and silver base is already beautiful, but you can also choose different finishes, such as a Delrin tray or a wooden base.
And that's not all: the Volare is also very easy to use! The speed control (33, 45 and 78 rpm) and speed buttons are located in the lower left corner of the base. Simply select the speed to turn the platter and press the button again to stop. The motor is "high torque" in name only, and with its aluminium feet and short adjustable spikes, it is easy to level and adjust.
The Dr Feickeirt Volare Turntable comes bare, but you can choose a fitted model from the options on the site.
And the sound... Volare - come fly with me...
