Transrotor Jupiter
The Transrotor Jupiter turntable is different from all other models offered so far, it stands out from the others with its atypical acrylic chassis.
Although it is no longer in the catalogue, it is still available on order.
The basic version of the Jupiter is already equipped with high-end components and a stable and vibrant soundscape. It comes standard with the new Rega arm range and the MM Uccello cell.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Golden Diapason
- high quality finish
- comes with a high quality Uccello - MM cartridge
- delivered with a black RB 220 tone arm
- acrylic frame
- heavy aluminium platter, approx. 7 kg
The platter is made of aluminium and weighs 7 kg. It has a vinyl coating on the top and the bottom of the platter is not flat, but has concentric rings, which improves its mechanical properties. The same solution is used in other Transrotor models, such as the Zet 3, for example, although the Jupiter uses a smaller and lighter version of the latter. The platter is placed on a large bearing (Ø 60mm), which also acts as a sub-platter.
A proven synchronous motor, encased in an aluminium profile, which is placed either next to the chassis driving the platter from there, or in the case of an external drive unit in a recess under the platter connected by a short belt.
The Transrotor Jupiter shines with an incredibly serene sound image. The midband is represented in a natural and neutral way, without being cold. Voices are well present in space, with body and well-defined contours.
The top end of the spectrum is very detailed and clear, but it is better to combine it with cells that are neutral rather than too crystalline.
The soundstage is very realistic. It has obtained the Diapason d'or in its basic version!
