With this fine, precise and smooth suspension, the full range of sounds is preserved and can be reliably and accurately transmitted to your precious phono cell. In order to take full advantage of these features, it is essential to ensure that the phono cell is perfectly matched to the overall system. The quality and compatibility of the phono cell is essential for capturing and reproducing sound with maximum accuracy.
To effectively dampen the movements of the Sorane ZA-12 tone arm, the spindle that holds the weight is made of two brass and Delrin barrels. It is also mounted on the main body of the tone arm via a rubber interface.
The tone arm itself is CNC machined from a solid block of aluminium for optimum density and rigidity. This results in a rich and accurate bass reproduction, and the bass is as tight and detailed as possible.
Moreover, the bass is mainly present within the horizontal plane of the groove, and the extremely low resonance of the ZA-12 will give it a significant advantage in this register.
The internal wiring of the SORANE ZA-12 is made of Pure Copper OFC 4N, and is routed by separating Left and Right by means of aluminium tubes.
