The PH 10 phono preamplifier comes in a compact format. Like all Goldnote products, it's made entirely from high-quality brushed aluminium. It is available in three colours: black, silver and gold.


The front panel features a magnificent colour display, accompanied by the brand's typical rotary navigation knob. The display provides information on the selected input, phono cell type (MM or MC), gain, load and RIAA curve. Two elements indicate the screen brightness setting and the presence or absence of the optional Gold Note PSU-10 external power supply.

The Goldnote PH-10 is a very complete and functional phono preamplifier, especially at this price.

There are two configurable 'MM or MC' inputs, with a choice of different correction curves, such as RIAA, Decca London or American Columbia.

Thanks to the integrated colour screen, you can see the shape of the curve. An 'enhanced' filter, very similar to the filter built into Neumann engraving machines, adds a few dB to the high frequencies from 8 kHz upwards, making it possible to offer six authorised forms of correction. Gain is set at 40 dB for MM and 65 dB for MC,

with four-step adjustment from 0 dB, ± 3 dB, + 6 dB. Nine load impedance values are available, from 10 Ω to 2.2 kΩ in MC and 47 kΩ in MM.

All functions are controlled by a thumbwheel with on-screen display. The reduced gain of -3 dB offers a less tense, wide and well-balanced sound.


The Goldnote phono PH 10 delivers an all-encompassing sound with plenty of rhythm, but without complexity. This sound characteristic is similar to that of the Goldnote IS-1000 all-in-one streamer. The Gold Note PH-10 delivers extremely accurate reproduction with a lovely, slightly 'soft' timbre. This quality of timbre makes the reproduction very authentic.


With the PH-10, it's exciting to experiment with the correction curves to adjust all the tone curves in real time.

The PH-10 brings an exciting rhythm to any situation. One crucial aspect worth mentioning is that the Gold Note PH-10 is very quiet, and when combined with a Hana cell, you'll get a combination that's almost perfect in every nuance.

The PH-10 has an optional dedicated power supply

To maximise the performance of the PH-10, we've also developed the PSU-10, a dedicated super-inductive external power supply that allows the phono stage to reach its full potential, achieving an even higher degree of musical realism, better dynamics and greater three-dimensionality of sound.
